How a white-and-red Ibiza wedding proved that “less” can still feel passionate and alive — featured in ELLE Spose Italy.

I was truly honored to be featured in ELLE Spose Italy for this beautiful wedding designed by Diana D’Arose, a celebration that reminded me just how powerful minimalism can be when it’s done with emotion.
This wedding at Cotton Beach Club reminded me once again that minimalism isn’t about doing less — it’s about doing it right.

Many couples today love the minimalist look: clean lines, soft tones, a sense of calm.
But at the same time, they want their wedding to feel memorable and complete, not cold or unfinished.
However, that balance between simplicity and emotion is much harder to achieve than it looks.
Maybe that’s why this wedding stood out and caught so much attention.
Cotton Beach Club, overlooking Cala Tarida, is already a minimalist dream.
It’s run by a Scandinavian team, and the space itself is all about openness and light.
A view of endless blue, a neutral palette, and a calm atmosphere that needs no decoration.
If someone asked me to name the perfect venue for a minimalist Mediterranean wedding, this would be the one.

Working with planner Diana D’Arose, I learned how much discipline minimalism really requires.
When the color palette is restrained, the materials have to speak. Moreover, the flowers, the fabrics, and yes, even the cake.

In this case, the entire design was built around texture and light.
Buttercream already has a natural sheen, and under the soft neon glow of the evening reception,
it reflected light beautifully and no extra color needed.

That’s one thing I always tell my clients: if you want variation in a minimalist design, don’t add more color — let the material speak for itself. Because the texture, reflection, and contrast can do far more than you imagine. It’s a kind of luxury that makes the entire scene feel effortless, but never empty.

In addition, the couple themselves were just like their wedding design — simple, stylish, and absolutely full of life. They didn’t need to wait for the party to start; everyone was already laughing and dancing before dinner.
That’s what I love most — when a minimalist wedding still feels completely alive!
